An Epsom man who grabbed and dragged a woman on Epsom Common has been charged by police investigating the case.

22-year-old Epsom man Warren Morton was charged with sexual assault and breaching the conditions of his Sexual Risk Order.

He has since been remanded in custody awaiting his next appearance at Guildford Crown Court on Friday (July 9).

As the Surrey Comet reported previously, police responded to reports of a woman being grabbed and dragged from behind at around 6.55pm on Thursday, June 30.

Sexual Risk Orders are imposed by courts on people in cases where it is deemed necessary to protect the public the risk of sexual harm.

According to the Sexual Offences Act 2003:
