A Coronation Street star married a teacher from Sutton last weekend.
Helen Worth, who plays Gail Platt in the hit soap, married Trevor Dawson, a teacher at St Dunstan’s in Cheam, on Saturday, April 6.
They had a star-studded celebration at St James’s Church in London’s Piccadilly and later a reception at the nearby The Ritz hotel.
Dressed in a green silk and lace Bruce Oldfield gown, 62-year-old Worth's wedding included celebrity guests such as musical star Elaine Paige, actress Lynda Bellingham and Coronation Street stars Alan Halsall, Alison King and Shobna Gulati, who has just joined the Loose Women panel.
Guests were ferried to the famous hotel aboard two vintage double decker buses.
Gail Platt's character has been on Coronation Street for an incredible 39 years since Worth first appeared on the show in July 1974, when the actress was 23-years-old.
Mr Dawson is her second husband after she divorced voice-over artist Michael Angelis in 2001 following a second affair.
But Gail Platt has had a far more turbulent marital history - having been married five times: one husband who was murdered, another a serial killer, and one a fraudster kitchen fitter.
